Academic Insights provides ambitious high-school students from around the world with an unrivalled experience studying undergraduate-level subjects at Oxford and Cambridge University colleges.
All classes are taught by expert academics from world-leading universities, such as Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard. Each subject follows a specifically-designed summer school syllabus. This combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring all students receive a well-rounded and challenging programme which develops them for future success.
With the support of expert academic tutors, all participants on the Academic Insights programme complete a project during their time. Whether an essay, presentation or practical project, participants receive ongoing support before presenting their ideas to their peers at the end of the programme.
The Advanced Studies Programmes offer high school students the unique opportunity to experience life in an historic Oxford or Cambridge college over the summer. Our courses combine in-depth academic exploration with a full cultural and social programme. With daily seminars in chosen courses of study, small class sizes of two to eight students, interactive teaching methods to encourage student participation, reinforced by weekly one-on-one tutorials called ‘1:1 Supervisions’, students learn and study with a vibrant community from across the globe. Each week students will attend a Guest Lecture aimed at giving them an insight into Oxbridge life. There will also be University Preparation Masterclasses helping to build essential skills for those wanting to apply to UCAS. For those students hoping to study Law or any BioMedical related degrees, the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) and Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT) are key to gaining entrance, and these optional preparation lessons are available for an extra fee. The programme offers an exciting activities programme including cultural visits to heritage sites, sightseeing visits to London, as well as free time to explore Oxford or Cambridge with new friends.
