  • Conditions of Acceptance

    1. The course is open to all students who have reached the age of sixteen by the beginning of the course and who have completed at least high school sophomore year or equivalent.

    2. The application form must be completed in full, signed by the student and countersigned by a parent/fee payer. Both sections of the personal statement must be carefully completed. Acceptance is subject to a satisfactory transcript and teacher reference, which should be obtained from the student's school and forwarded to us.

    3. A registration fee of $400 is payable with the application, refundable only if the student is not accepted. Course fees are payable by 31 May. For enrollments after this date, fees are payable upon acceptance. We cannot hold a student's place if fees have not paid in full. Fees are only refundable in exceptional circumstances.

    4. Medical & Cancellation Insurance cover is arranged with Endsleigh Insurance. Parents are strongly advised to take out insurance to meet any loss of fees due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances. Travel insurance is also recommended. Students are responsible for organising their own insurance.

    5. The course organisers shall not be liable for any injury to students or loss or damage to their personal property, however caused. A form of indemnification must be signed by each student and his or her parents. Enrollment cannot be finalised until these formalities have been completed.

    6. We will pass on any charges for damage caused by students to college property, also for costs incurred for lost or damaged keys.

    7. Students are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid visa to enter the UK. No refund can be made if a student fails to meet immigration requirements.

    8. The course organisers reserve the right to suspend any student whose standard of conduct is unsatisfactory and in extreme cases, or where conduct does not improve, to dismiss the student. We will not be liable for any resulting costs.

    9. We reserve the right to change or cancel academic courses, to alter the cultural visits or to change any other aspects of the program as circumstances dictate.

    10. It is very helpful to be able to use student photographs or names for marketing purposes. Any student or parent who wishes to withhold permission should contact us in writing.
