The International Baccalaureate Diploma is an internationally recognised qualification for students aged 16 plus. We have been teaching the IB Diploma for over 45 years, longer than any other school or college in England.
The IB Diploma is a qualification for university study around the world. It enables study of a range of subjects, encouraging depth and breadth of knowledge. Six subject areas are chosen, three at higher and three at standard level.
The study curriculum includes three core elements that provide additional academic specialisation. These are the Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service).
Learn through class discussions, group work, and practical and written assignments. Students are encouraged to take an active role in their learning, with the support of classmates and tutors in a supportive teaching environment. Each aspect of our provision enables the development of learning skills. Our high staff-to-student ratio offers dedicated academic support.
Our teachers teach the teachers! As a result of our specialist knowledge, several teachers run IB-approved workshops for teachers in other schools and are involved in the development of the IB study programme. Our students are in exceptionally safe hands!

We offer a range of subjects at higher and standard level. When choosing, you should consider your level of English, whether or not you speak other languages, your career goals and aspirations, and which subjects you think you would enjoy learning.
Aspiring engineers would have to study higher level physics and maths; likewise for medicine, higher level biology and chemistry are an essential part of the learning.
For those choosing languages, a German speaker would choose German literature from Group 1, and English language Group 2. If English is the first language, then choose English literature from Group 1, and a modern language from Group 2.
• Standard level (150 teaching hours): The teaching provides an in-depth knowledge of the subject and gives an opportunity to develop key skills
• Higher level (240 teaching hours): At this level a deeper understanding of key topics and concepts are studied in more depth, and skills further developed

The IB Diploma results achieved by our students are consistently ranked among the best and most impressive, spanning across all ability levels. Their average points score over the past three years is 37, which is significantly higher than the world average of 31.
This is equivalent to A*, A, A at A Level, the level normally required for entrance to the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and the US Ivy League colleges. Over the last three years, a third of our students scored 40 points or over, and nine achieved the maximum IB score of 45, placing them in the top 1% globally.

The breadth of top-quality universities our students progress onto globally is a great success story. The excellent results achieved give students the opportunity to select from a wide range of prestigious universities around the world, and 90% of our students go to their first choice of university.
Key highlights over the last 3 years:
Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) gives our students an opportunity to enhance their personal and interpersonal development by learning and engaging in fun and worthwhile experiences. Participation in CAS is an integral part of the IB Programme and enables our students to develop their special talents while improving their fitness, awareness of others, and the ability to work cooperatively.
With over fifty CAS experiences offered each week, students can create a personalised CAS programme, which aligns with their interests or skills. The emphasis should be on creating a balanced programme from creative, active, and service opportunities.

We also support students in joining local clubs for other sports, such as tennis, rugby, ice hockey, fencing, dance, rowing, and cricket.
We use specialised facilities across Oxford for much of our sport training:
Students have free membership to a local Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre, with access to state-of-the-art gym, fitness classes, tennis courts and swimming pool.
Excursions have an educational, cultural, environmental, sport or social focus. These include Biology, Environmental Systems, History and Languages study visits in both the UK and beyond.
We are lucky to be so close to Stratford upon Avon (for Shakespeare), Bath (for the Romans), Wales (for castles), Thorpe Park (for the rides), Birmingham (for Cadbury’s World), Stonehenge (for the heritage) and of course London (for everything else!).
We treat young people with respect and dignity. Our provision fosters independence of mind and personal responsibility. We positively prepare students for university and future life through encouraging them to learn to develop a balanced healthy lifestyle, always considering their studies but also the importance of exercise and a social life.
The college atmosphere is friendly and informal, without school uniform and with students on first-name term with teachers, removing barriers between adults and young people and making learning collaborative and exciting. There is an initial £500 non-refundable registration and support fee.
Annual fees are charged in pounds sterling (GBP) and are currently £23,592 for day students and £49,310 for residential students, plus £100 college fee per semester, to cover all teaching, supervision, assessments, college application advice (US or UK), social activities, course materials (except books), use of computers and internet, regular visits to places of interest, activities and insurance.
A refundable fees deposit of £500 is invoiced with tuition and accommodation fees.
Lunch is available in college and is included in the price.
There is no additional charge of VAT on any of the fees.
Term dates are as stated above.
We do not offer scholarships or a discount of fees, though in exceptional circumstances may consider a small discount on tuition fees.
