In this in-depth psychology course, students will look at reasoning and decision-making, and why human beings continue to have bad judgement, and why history repeats itself. The psychology of stereotypes, prejudice and determination, is it human nature or a symptom of society? Students will look at behavioural genetics, family and animal psychology, bad psychology in interpreting research, psychopathology, the diagnosis of mental health problems, and the importance of conducting experiments in psychology.
