Sydney Summer School

5 -18 July 2026; July 2027 TBC

Our Sydney Summer school takes place in July during the the British summer (5 – 18 July 2026), these sessions are open to 15-18 year olds only. The course is taught by expert tutors from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, brought to Sydney from the UK to lead the course, offering exceptional teaching quality on the other side of the world.

You will explore novel concepts and share your ideas in small groups of youngsters from around the world. In class sizes with an average of seven, expert tutors present topics and lead discussion, having honed their expertise through teaching undergraduate students at world-class universities.

A rigorous vetting process guarantees that all participants are taught by engaging and supportive educators,  enthusiastic about sharing their expertise to ensure the teaching is of the highest quality.

Workshops, geared towards unlocking participants’ potential, give the tools to prepare for the next steps of your education and future goals, building upon existing study skills to support future university-level learning. The workshops explore a diverse and enriching range of topics – examples ranging from ‘Productivity tips’ to ’21st Century Technology Skills’.

At the end of the course, students present their own project to their peers and receive a course report.

“My time in Sydney with Immerse has honestly been one of the best things I have ever done. I learnt so much from all the inspirational tutors who have motivated me to challenge myself academically.” Natalie, Participant 2023

Accommodation
at the University of Sydney

The University of Sydney, one of Australia’s most prestigious institutions, is ranked amongst the world’s top universities. Founded in 1850, it’s the oldest of the elite group of ‘sandstone’ universities, the earliest in Australia, dating from the 1800s. University buildings are in similar style to Oxford and Cambridge, with modern facilities.

Students will reside at the Rydges Camperdown, a modern hotel within walking distance of the University of Sydney campus. Students stay in twin en-suite rooms, with separate male and female dwellings, 24/7 reception and dedicated pastoral staff. Academic sessions take place at St. Andrew’s College, one of Sydney University’s most established colleges. Students will experience the campus atmosphere while staying in the heart of Sydney.
