Our summer programme takes place at an Oxford college and is open to teens aged 13 to 15, and 16 to 18 years old.
Classes are taught by expert tutors who are often graduates of Oxford and Cambridge themselves, and know the university well.
Each subject follows a carefully-designed syllabus, combining theoretical knowledge and practical application. You can expect to receive a well-rounded and stimulating course of study, to help prepare you for future success.
All participants on ‘Academic Insights’ complete a specific project. This may be an essay, presentation or practical project, and you receive close tutor guidance before presenting your work to your peers at the end of the course.
Oxford, also known as the ‘City of Spires’ is the UK’s oldest university city. With iconic building like the Radcliffe Camera (pictured here), walks down Brasenose Lane and punting on the River Cherwell, there is so much to see and do here.
The Oxford summer programme gives students the opportunity to study an academic subject in a happy, safe, fun environment. Your teens will make friends from all over the world, have a full social calendar, which includes an excursion to London, and a formal dinner in the college dining hall.
Accommodation will be at one of the university’s colleges, Balliol, Brasenose or St. Edmund’s Hall. Male and female students are housed in different areas of the college, supervised by residential tutors, with full pastoral support to make sure all students are happy and well settled. All colleges have access to Wifi.
At Campus Oxford we have over 30 years experience running academic programmes.
We will take care of all your needs, help you with the application process, visas and airport transfers.
Once the programme starts, we will be reachable by phone and email. We also have direct access to oncall staff and managers.
If your child has special dietary requirements or food allergies, we are on hand to help manage their specific needs by contacting college catering.
We are mums to teenagers and understand how to strike the right balance between letting them find their independence, and are also there to provide support should they need it.
Fill out an application form and we will check whether or not your subject is available on the dates you have selected.
Ruth will contact you by email to ask for a copy of your teen’s passport and school transcripts, and to help you process your application.
We have put together a list of questions we often get asked:
My son would like to study 2 subjects. Can he stay for a second session?
Yes, students are welcome to study for more than two weeks. The social programme and guest speakers will be prepared to avoid any sessions being repeated.
What is the deadline to apply for the summer experience?
Applications are welcome from the autumn prior to the course. The class sizes are strictly limited (as is the residential capacity). We encourage an early conversation then application to secure a place for your chosen subject and dates.
We aren’t sure if we need a visa. Do you offer support with this?
We guide students through the visa application process and provide the course confirmation letter required.
Do students attend with friends or travel independently?
We have siblings and friends who enrol together, predominantly students arrive without knowing other participants. A key focus for the first few days is to ensure everyone feels comfortable, supported and relaxed in their new environment. The pastoral care is given a high priority.
Are students given a report or feedback at the end of the course?
Students are given a detailed report on completion of the course. This can be sent to their school if necessary.
