It’s still foggy, cold and a bit damp but we are getting the occasional signs of Spring here in the UK. Snowdrops are out, daffodils are starting to rear their heads, the birds are singing and tulips are coming in from Holland. Maybe it is time to start thinking of Summer, despite everything going on!
We are still locked down; schools are still closed, but, there is good news: over 10 million people have already been vaccinated in the UK, and the plan is to have all the higher risk groups vaccinated by the end of February half-term. This means that, all being well, and the new variants being under control, we will start going back to normal soon.
We are doing everything we can at Campus Oxford to make sure your child can have a fun, happy, educational and, above all, SAFE time with us in Oxford or Cambridge, depending on where your child is going to study.
Yes, there may be some changes to our day to day schedule. It isn’t going to be as carefree as it usually is. There will still be some restrictions in place: a short quarantine period before the course starts; some changes to the social calendar, maybe excursions will be made more local to Oxford or Cambridge, depending on where your child is, but everything we do will be properly risk-assessed, and Covid safe.
As parents, our children’s safety comes first, but it’s also important for your children to have something to look forward to, a place where they can meet other like-minded people from all over the world, to learn, play, socialise, participate in team sports, and see the world. This has been a very difficult time for many families, so why not do something positive, your child will thank you.
To reassure you, we will be using the same college being used currently by university students, so safety measures are already in place and working well. The programme insurance covers the cost of any student having to remain in the UK due to a positive Covid result on departure day. Full refunds will be given if the UK and/or the US governments ban travel, or the student has a positive Covid test prior to the course. Quarantine provision will be arranged if needed, and most importantly, the course provider has been certified “Covid safe” by the UK tourism board.
If you book before March 31st, we will give you an Early Bird discount. Why not take a look at our courses with your son or daughter, there are so many interesting things to learn!
