This week we thought it would be a good idea to talk you through the ins and outs of our application process, and what actually happens when you hit the ‘apply now’ button.
Firstly, you will be taken through to a list of courses, dates and locations, where you will be able to select the course/s you are interested in.
You will be asked to fill in your personal details, the usual: name, age, date of birth, address, email, phone number, parent’s name and contact details, as after all, they will be the ones paying!
You will be asked to tell us a little about yourself, this part is called your ‘personal statement’. This is where we get to know you: your aspirations, your dreams, why you think going on the course will help you reach those dreams, and what makes you, you! This is a good place to tell us any interesting stories, or hobbies you may have. Maybe you like skydiving, or dancing the salsa? Add all these things to your personal statement.
The next bit is about your achievements. This is not just a list of awards but can also be a place to tell us about a challenge you have overcome, or maybe you have helped somebody else achieve something? This could be the place to tell us about overcoming adversity, as well as championing your incredible skills!
Please reread your application before hitting ‘submit’, and check for any errors, especially your name and email address so we are able to contact you.
Once we receive your application, we will ask you for the following:
- School transcripts.
- A letter of recommendation from a tutor of your choice.
- a copy of your passport.
- how you heard about us
- a deposit of £500 to secure your place on the course. This is refundable should you not be accepted onto the course.
Once we receive all your documentation, we will let you know within 7 days if you have a place on the course, and we will be in regular contact from that point onwards, right up until the day you are due to travel.
So, why not look take a look at our courses and start planning your summer. Early booking is recommended.
Enjoy!
